Sunshine Coast-based low-cost airline Bonza says it has listened to customer feedback by allowing customers to book using its website.

Bonza was the first airline globally to lead with an app-first approach, with more than 1.8 million downloads of the Fly Bonza app to date.

But Bonza CEO Tim Jordan said the new website would complement the app and give customers more choice.

“We’ve listened to our customers and their feedback was that not everyone wants to book via the app, so we’ve created a user-friendly website,” Mr Jordan said.

“We’re still encouraging customers to download and use the Fly Bonza app as it’s still the only way to check in, retrieve your boarding pass, buy food and drink from our all-Aussie menu and enjoy many entertainment options while onboard – essentially your very own pocket travel buddy.

“We’re proud of being early digital adopters in the Australian aviation space and the feedback we get from our customers is that the app is a fantastic addition to their Bonza experience.

“But we understand that some customers prefer to book online so introducing this easy-to-use website as a digital companion to our Fly Bonza app allows us to reach many more travellers who have yet to experience Bonza.”

The website is also home to Bonza’s group bookings arm, a digital chat function and the travel agent portal, which has more than 1400 registered travel agents already onboard.
