Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was wounded in Currimundi last night.

Emergency crews were called to a park along Bellara Drive about 9.30pm following reports of a disturbance involving around 10 people, believed to be known to each other.

Upon arrival, a 16-year-old Pelican Waters boy was located with non-life-threatening injuries to his hip and hand, and was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

Nearby residents are also urged to review their CCTV for any relevant vision.

Investigations are continuing.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said an alleged wounding was reported on Talara Street, Currimundi, at 9.31pm on Wednesday.

Paramedics transported one male teenager in a serious condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with arm and abdominal injuries.
