A specialty coffee chain has outlined details about a new store and drive-thru on the Sunshine Coast.

Zarraffa’s Coffee is set to open its fourth outlet in the region, at Nambour, before the end of the year.

It will consist of in-store service and seating, and a drive-thru.

Company CEO Marnie Sheldon told Sunshine Coast News they were excited to bring the brand to the hinterland town.

“We’re looking forward to opening at another Sunshine Coast location later this year,” she said.

The store will be located at the existing (Ampol) service centre on Bli Bli Road “for added convenience”.

Ms Sheldon said the region and Zarraffa’s were a good fit.

“Sunshine Coasters appreciate great coffee and with key locations in Maroochydore, Currimundi and Caloundra, Zarraffa’s offering has proven popular over time,” she said.

“We’re thrilled to be delivering our brand of specialty coffee in another key location locally.

“This would be the furthest location west and will deliver greater convenience to locals in the area.”

The venue is set to feature everything the coffee label has to offer.

“The store is a full-service Zarraffa’s drive-thru, including all our regular menu items, served up from early to late, just the way our customers like it,” Ms Sheldon said.

It’s expected to provide a host of people with jobs.

“Our new store openings generally attract up to 30 local employees, from junior barista roles, right through to store management.”

Job vacancies have already been posted.

Many locals have voiced their enthusiasm for the new store, via social media, but some have expressed concerns the chain could take business from local cafes.

The Gold Coast-based company was founded in 1996 and now serves customers at more than 70 locations in Australia.

It offers cold drinks, hot drinks, food, merchandise, and coffee beans.

The new venue’s opening hours are yet to be revealed but Zarraffa’s at Maroochydore is open from 5am to 10pm, while their stores at Caloundra and Currimundi are open from 5am to 7pm.
