The Caloundra Evening VIEW Club resumed formal monthly dinner meetings with its AGM on February 9, when a club member was awarded a 30 Year Service Pin.

VIEW (Voice, Interests and Education of Women) National Councillor, Margaret Elliott, spoke of the achievements of VIEW clubs and the Smith Family’s Learning for Life program which now sponsors the educational expenses of more than 56,000 disadvantaged students throughout Australia.

The Caloundra club supports 10 local children and club members mentor local students at the After-School Learning Clubs.

Mrs Elliott presented badges to the 2021 Caloundra Evening VIEW Committee members.

Zone Councillor, Clodagh Barwise-Smith, also awarded the 30 Year Service Pin to club member Cheryl Scott who transferred from Kenmore Club in 2014.

Club meetings are held at 6.15pm for 7pm Dinner on the second Tuesday of every month at the Caloundra Power Boat Club in Golden Beach.

The club welcomes working and retired women and those who have relocated to the Sunshine Coast.

It also offers monthly morning teas and a ‘Sunday Walk and Breakfast’.

VIEW is a friendly, inclusive club which is committed to reducing the impact of disadvantage in our society.
