As each auction rolls past, I find myself saying “that was the hottest auction I’ve called”.

So, it makes sense that we are starting to see new highs and previous sale records broken.

The property at 10 Ross Crescent, Sunshine Beach, is a personal favourite.

The architecture of Shaun Lockyer showcases the very essence of Sunshine Beach.

The home (pictured above) is an amalgam of concrete, slate, timber and glass, crafted  to the highest standard.

As predicted by agent Rebekah Offermann in the weeks preceding auction day, “this could be the highest, non-view, non-beachfront sale for Sunshine Beach”.

Two bidders ascended on auction day, both determined to secure the statement property.

Opening the bidding at $3.6 million, the would-be buyers were steady with their offers to the new high tide mark of $4 million, confirming Rebekah’s earlier prediction.

Both buyer and seller we very happy with the outcome. Even the under bidder was happy that they had a fair and transparent opportunity to compete for the property.

Next up was 7310 Peppers Resort in Noosa. One bedders have always been a popular entry level opportunity for investors and holidaymakers.

With a maximum capacity of 20, we were forced to make a last-minute venue change.

Marketing agent Chris Miller ushered everyone into the on-site cinema and we conducted the auction in front of a full house and nine registered bidders.

The sale concluded after a hard-fought bidding war, with $492,000 the winning bid, cementing unit 7310 as the highest one-bedroom sale in the Peppers Resort complex.

38 Sundew Street, Mudjimba, was always going to draw huge interest.

However, the team at North Shore Realty wasn’t anticipating the 400-plus inspections throughout the marketing campaign.

The holiday home of 44 years was an much-loved family asset and the decision to sell the property definitely wasn’t an easy one.

At the fall of the hammer there were tears from the owners and even more from the successful purchaser.

The property was won by a young family who, by the looks of things, will enjoy it for the next 44 years. With just shy of 20 registered bidders, the eventual sale price was $832,000.

Renovators were out in force to vie for 4 Cedar Court, Buderim.

The home, on 897m2, is well positioned in a small cul-de-sac that is within easy walking distance of Buderim Village.

Internally, however, the property requires major refurbishment.

Nine registered bidders fought it out with one bidder emerging triumphant with a bid of $745,000. Corey Payne and the team at Property Today were thrilled with the result.
