The developer of a 90-unit apartment complex in an expanding business centre says the project is a “deliberate step to provide more housing opportunities for the local community”.

Stockwell has begun construction on the Hof Noosaville apartments in the Noosa Business Centre, coinciding with broader plans for a new village precinct and major shopping centre refurbishment.

It comes on the back of works commencing on the Noosa Civic Medihub last month.

Located on Hofmann Drive, Hof Noosaville consists of 90 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments that will share a common recreational area with a swimming pool, outdoor kitchens and landscaped grounds.

Managing director Mark Stockwell said the new apartment complex was a result of Stockwell finishing subdivision works for the broader Noosa Business Centre.

The subdivision works included delivering services like road infrastructure and land lots for opportunities across commercial, residential, medical and health, start-ups, entertainment and leisure.

“Hof’s 90 apartments are a deliberate step to provide more housing opportunities for the local community, particularly those who will be working in the immediate vicinity,” Mr Stockwell said.

Works on the new apartments have officially begun.

“Commencing construction on these apartments continues our work with Noosa Council to deliver on the community’s vision to broaden Noosa’s economic base and provide the uses that the Noosa community needs as it continues to grow.”

In May, Stockwell lodged a development application with Noosa Council for a new mixed-use village precinct and the refurbishment of Noosa Civic shopping centre, which Stockwell opened in 2006.

The new village would have a variety of uses including convenience and specialty retail not currently offered in the area, new build-to-rent apartments and a mix of professional suites and office space on the upper levels.

Mr Stockwell said Hof Noosaville reflected the company’s experience in delivering apartment projects that meet the needs of the community.

“They are all in walking distance to the existing Noosa Civic centre and future village expansion and innovation precinct,” he said.

“The majority of buyers have been local owner-occupiers, from first home buyers to retirees. Only a small number of properties remain for sale.”

Subject to weather and other possibilities, the project’s estimated completion date is late 2024.
