Noosa Heads’ reputation for opulence is set to go up a gear with a prestige motoring event with all the trimmings.

Hastings Street will host Noosa Concours D’Elegance, an arrangement of luxurious, unique and historic cars, from July 14 to July 16.

The three-day extravagance will also feature a pearl exhibition, champagne soirees, caviar tastings, fine dining experiences and a private jet display.

There will be more than 20 events and while most will be ticketed, the street exhibition will be free to attend, from 10.45am to 5pm on July 15.

The road will be closed to all other traffic, creating a showcase of esteemed cars.

Officiated by Pebble Beach Concours D’ Elegance chair Sandra Button, the exhibition will attract enthusiastic car owners, collectors, renowned judges and visitors from across the country.

From rare classics such as a 1911 Benz and 1957 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud to the latest supercars, including one of Australia’s few Veyron Bugattis, the car display will boast class, style and history.

Event organiser Steve Padgett said the cars were “so much more than mechanical objects”.

“Unique and rare cars are very special because they introduce and connect people,” he said.

“The shared passion for cars, whether it be because of their shape, colour, history or a memory they evoke – the joy they bring is multi-generational.”

How do you put a price on some of these classic cars?

He said some of the cars were essentially priceless.

“How do you put a price on the many hundreds of people who have contributed to each Concours car – from the artists and craftsman to create them, mechanics and engineers to build them, the conservators and restorers to maintain them, historians and writers to document them, not to mention the generations of owners to care for them,” he said.

Mr Padgett said Noosa was the perfect fit for the event.

“On Hastings Street, we have no need for event infrastructure as we are surrounded with cafes, restaurants and boutiques, who are very much a part of this inaugural event,” he said.

“Noosa has many car enthusiasts and collectors, across several clubs, groups, networks and friendships.

“We are so fortunate for the wonderful energy they are bringing to enable a collection from across Australia to come together. “

Class, style and elegance.

In a press release, the organisers also heralded the event and the cars.

“This multi-day celebration promises to be an exquisite experience like no other, showcasing an impressive display of rare and desirable cars that will captivate the discerning eye of car enthusiasts and collectors alike,” they said.

“The Noosa Concours will be the ultimate gathering of motoring connoisseurs.

“A prestige manufacturers’ display, featuring some of the world’s most iconic luxury brands, will be the highlight of the event, attracting the most enthusiastic owners and collectors from all over.

Event attendees will enjoy some caviar tastings.

“As the sun sets over Noosa, live music and entertainment will add to the ambience of the event, enhancing the already captivating atmosphere of Hastings Street.

“Dining options at open-air restaurants will be the perfect way to indulge in a range of exquisite culinary delights, whilst taking in the sophisticated style and luxurious charm of the event.”

The event’s prestige car partners include Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, Aston Martin, Porsche and BMW.

Champagne will flow.
