Two people have died and two others have been seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash on private property at Sandy Creek yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a Cedarvale Road property about 1.28pm after a Polaris Ranger utility terrain vehicle (UTV) went over an embankment and collided with a tree.
Queensland Police said the 59-year-old male driver and a 75-year-old male passenger seated in the left rear of the vehicle were declared deceased at the scene.
A 33-year-old woman, who was seated in the right rear, sustained critical head and abdominal injuries and was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A 50-year-old female front passenger was able to self-extract from the vehicle before being airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.
A dog that was also in the vehicle died as a result of the crash.
The UTV has been towed for mechanical inspection as part of ongoing investigations by the Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit.
Police are appealing for anyone with information into the crash to come forward.
