Ten new stores and a series of major expansions have opened at Sunshine Plaza over the past year, underscoring continued retail activity on the Sunshine Coast.
The centre has reshaped its retail mix, adding new operators and expanding existing brands as the region’s population grows by an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 people a year.
Mecca completed a major expansion mid last year, followed by a refurbishment of Knobby kiosk. Noosa Chocolates opened a new concept store – its second at the centre – alongside Priceline Pharmacy.
In the final months of 2025, Studio Pilates opened in October, with Bubble Boy and a larger Foot Locker launching in November. December brought Nando’s, Ugg Express and Sushi Ari.
Further openings are confirmed, with LEGO, Joe’s Deli and Palermo set to join the line-up.

Sunshine Plaza, which has more than 300 specialty stores and records about 11 million visits a year, is the largest shopping centre on the Coast. The latest openings come amid mixed retail conditions nationally.
