Police are investigating the sudden death of a man at a popular Sunshine Coast beach this morning.

Police received reports about 9.38am of a man being pulled unresponsive from the water at Kings Beach.

Attempts were made to revive the 35-year-old Little Mountain man, however he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding his death.
