Police are investigating a serious single e-scooter traffic crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Initial investigations indicate that about 12.30pm on Sunday, a 33-year-old woman was travelling along Beerburrum Street at Aroona when she has lost control and crashed.

The woman was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit’s investigations are ongoing.
