One of the hinterland’s most respected agents has opened a franchise of Australasia’s largest real estate group.

Chevonne Rees together with her husband and business partner Brian Rees have established their own Ray White office at Palmwoods.

A seasoned real estate entrepreneur, Mrs Rees began her career in South Africa when she was 18.

A few years later, the Rees opened their own agency, which quickly grew to hold 50 per cent market share and became the largest independent real estate office in their district. The couple subsequently owned multiple successful real estate businesses before migrating to Australia.

Mrs Rees has spent the past six years servicing Palmwoods and its surrounds, and building a strong reputation within the Ray White group.

“Palmwoods is such a special place,” she said.

“It has that old-school community charm, but it’s also part of a rapidly growing region.

“We’ve got everything here from entry-level homes to multimillion-dollar acreages, great schools, new estates and a real mix of young families and retirees. It’s a beautiful lifestyle area that still feels authentic and connected.”

Mr Rees brings strong corporate business acumen to the new venture after working in large companies for 25 years.

Mrs Rees said she had no hesitation in joining with Ray White as principal of the Palmwoods office.

“The brand strength, the market share and the support behind the scenes are unmatched,’” she said.

“I’ve been part of the group for years and I know first-hand how powerful the systems and structure are.

“Recruitment-wise, Ray White is also the best, which is a big focus for us as we grow our team.”

Although Palmwoods has traditionally felt like a boutique market, Mrs Rees believes the time is right to bring the strength of a major brand to the area and to set a new benchmark in service and performance.

“There’s so much potential in Palmwoods and the surrounding areas,” she said.

“We’ve lived here, we love it and we’re ready to give the community something special.

“Our goal in the first 12 months is to firmly establish ourselves as the go-to real estate office in the region for service, results and local knowledge.”

Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew said Mrs Rees was a world-class operator with a track record of success internationally and in Australia.

“She brings deep local knowledge, proven leadership and a commitment to being best in market, the perfect combination for building an outstanding Ray White business,” Mr Andrew said.

“We’re incredibly proud to have Chevonne and Brian lead the Ray White group in Palmwoods and look forward to watching the business go from strength to strength.”

The new Ray White Palmwoods office is located directly opposite local icon, Rick’s Garage.
