An iconic Nambour shopfront has closed its doors after eight years in business.
Broken Arrow Archery announced to its social media followers that it ceased trading on September 25.
Citing an “ongoing rental situation”, its owners penned an emotional post thanking the local archery community for its support.
“In the eight years since we bought the business, we have made an amazing group of fellow archers and introduced thousands of others to this truly great activity,” it read.
“We personally have made many lifetime friends and lost some as well.”

Fans of the business flocked to share their disappointment at the closure online, with some posting to reddit.
“What a shame,” one wrote. “We took the kids a couple of times and all had a great time.”
“I used to love this store – great community.”

The owners maintained they would continue to be involved in archery activities on the Coast.
“We will still be a business that will attend lots of shoots in South Queensland and beyond with our trailer of goodies, and in the near future will have an online presence with a website and possibly another store with shooting lanes,” they said.
“Jay has been involved in archery for over 35 years and will continue to be involved, both shooting and offering advice and coaching to any who seek to improve.”
