A man has been airlifted to hospital after he was injured in a meat grinder incident on a Sunshine Coast property.
It’s believed the man in his 50s was using the machine when his right hand was caught.
A LifeFlight aeromedical crew was tasked to the Kenilworth scene at 1.40pm, when they landed in a nearby paddock.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics and the Queensland Fire Department to remove the man’s hand from the grinder.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, with significant injuries in a stable condition, for further treatment.
