A new floating venue offering a ‘nautical chic’ experience has begun cruising a popular waterway.

The Boat Mooloolaba operates along the Mooloolah River, offering sunset sessions, seafood soirees and bottomless brunches from a two-storey vessel.

With a schedule of regular cruises and private charters, it officially launched on August 31 ahead of the summer season of events.

The Boat Mooloolaba’s Georgia Cranson said the venue was designed to bring “something new and exciting” to the Sunshine Coast.

“We believe The Boat offers something Mooloolaba has been waiting for – a floating venue that blends style, atmosphere and experience,” Ms Cranson said.

“Our vision is to offer a sophisticated yet approachable space where both locals and visitors can enjoy premium cocktails, curated entertainment and stunning waterfront views.

The two-storey boat offers regular cruises, events and private charters along the Mooloolah River.

“We wanted to create an experience that feels special and memorable, a place people will talk about long after they’ve stepped off the boat.”

The company hosts a variety of experiences that Ms Cranson said would suit different tastes and occasions.

“From our golden hour and sunset sessions with live music, to Sunday socials, seafood soirees and events like our bottomless brunches, high teas and luxe Christmas lights cruises, there’s always something happening onboard,” she said.

“For those looking for something extra special, we also offer private charters and exclusive hire for celebrations, weddings, corporate events and everything in between.”

Guests aboard The Boat Mooloolaba can expect a modern, coastal venue featuring two bars, designer interiors, lounge seating and a curated cocktail and drinks menu.

“The atmosphere is relaxed yet premium, with plenty of Insta-worthy moments and uninterrupted views,” Ms Cranson said.

“It’s more than just a boat ride, it’s a five-star floating experience.”

The boat features two bars and lounge seating.

She said the company was collaborating with Sunshine Coast suppliers and local businesses to showcase “the very best our region has to offer”.

The boat caters for up to 48 guests year-round and private charters can be tailored to suit guests’ needs.

Ms Cranson said she was “proud” to bring this project to life following years of family experience in the marine tourism industry.

“The Boat Mooloolaba is a project close to our hearts,” she said.

The experience leaves from The Wharf Mooloolaba.

“As a locally owned and operated family business, we’re proud to be showcasing the best of our home to locals and visitors alike.

“We’ve poured our passion for hospitality and the Sunshine Coast lifestyle into every detail, and we can’t wait to welcome guests onboard to share in that vision.”

The Boat Mooloolaba is based at The Wharf Mooloolaba.
