A New York-inspired sandwich shop known for its loaded sangas, signature fries and retro soundtrack will open an outlet at the Sunshine Coast’s main shopping centre.

Joe’s Deli will welcome customers at its new waterside venue at Sunshine Plaza at Maroochydore from late October.

It will be the brand’s third Queensland location, after Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Known for its Italian-American flavours, Joe’s Deli boasts stacked sandwiches, hot dogs, mac and cheese croquettes, house pickles and its renowned Hollywood Cheesecake.

The Lobbie Roll – Joe’s take on the lobster roll – will also be available, along with the Brooklyn Dog, Reuben, Meatball Sub and Original Deli.

A press release from Joe’s Deli said there was more on the menu.

“Add a side of Joe’s famous fries, dusted with their secret salt or Joe’s crispy wings and onion rings,” it said.

“Not your average sanga shop, settle into one of the booths and enjoy a chilled glass of Joe’s own locally brewed beer range, organic wines, canned cocktails and ice-cold seltzers.

“Perfect post-beach day or meeting friends for a weekend feed, Joe’s is set to be your go-to summer spot.”

The new 90-seat venue features booth seating, outdoor dining, hand-painted signwriting and a playlist heavy on ’90s hip hop, “bringing a slice of NYC straight to the Sunny Coast”.

Joe’s Deli will include multiple booths for patrons to enjoy a range of items from the menu.

Joe’s Deli will be open Sunday to Wednesday from 10am to 8.30pm and Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm.

It is understood it will be located on the southern side of Cornmeal Creek between Grill’d and the cinemas.
