A stunning hinterland home is being built for a charity auction in 2026, with 100 per cent of the profits being used to help keep kids safe.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation has announced the launch of its second Build It For The Kids (BIFTK) charity home project, once again partnering with Coast construction company Murphy Group to bring the vision to life.
The new home will be constructed in The Enclave residential development in Maleny, with RM Developments acting as principal developer.
Once completed the home will go to auction, with all profits from the sale going directly to the foundation to support child safety education, advocacy and assistance for young victims of crime across the Sunshine Coast.
The foundation is now calling on local trades, suppliers and businesses to be part of the initiative by donating services or products vital to the build.
“We need your help to make this project grow legs,” said Bruce Morcombe, co-founder of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

“Your donations will play a crucial role in constructing this special home and building a safer future for kids.”
Co-founder Denise Morcombe added: “This isn’t just about building a house. It’s about creating a lasting impact for generations to come.
“Every donation and every helping hand brings us one step closer to that goal.”
Murphy Group, which also led the first successful BIFTK project in 2020, is again serving as the lead project and construction partner, overseeing the build from start to finish.

The 2020 project raised significant funds for the foundation and the second instalment is set to deliver an even greater community impact.
Murphy Builders director Mark Berry emphasised the wide range of help needed.
“We require services from slab through to home staging and landscaping. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference,” he said.
Fellow Murphy Group director Brooke Bastien echoed that sentiment.
“We’re proud to partner with the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. This is our chance to give back and we encourage other businesses to join us in becoming champions of child safety,” she said.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation, established in memory of Daniel Morcombe, has worked for more than 20 years to keep children safe through education, outreach and advocacy.
