An investigative journalist who’s currently on the ground in a small hinterland town has appealed to locals for information to help crack two cold cases possibly connecting the disappearance of three women from the area in the 1990s.

True crime podcaster Ryan Wolf, of hit series Guilt, is in Kenilworth investigating whether the disappearance and presumed murders of backpacker Celena Bridge and local woman Sabrina Ann Glassop could be linked to Derek Bellington Sam, who is currently serving a life sentence for the 1999 murder of 16-year-old Burnside State High School student Jessica Gaudie.

Guilt uses first-hand interviews, legal analysis and on-the-ground reporting to uncover new evidence in cold cases.

Mr Wolf is appealing to anyone on the Sunshine Coast who might have information about their disappearance.

“Often, it’s locals who hold the missing pieces,” he said.

“Whether it’s something you saw, heard or simply felt – it could help us uncover the truth to bring closure to these families.

“This is a real-time investigation and community input will directly shape the direction of the series.”

The Guilt podcast team will be on the ground in Kenilworth and surrounding areas over the coming weeks meeting with locals and gathering new information.

Celena, 28, was last seen on July 16, 1998, on Booloumba Creek Road at Conondale, while 46-year-old Sabrina was last seen on the evening of May 29, 1999, at her family home near Booloumba Creek Road, Kenilworth.

Jessica was last seen on August 28, 1999, when she left her family home to babysit Sam’s three young children who were in the care of his estranged partner.

Celena Bridge, 28, was last seen on July 16, 1998, on Booloumba Creek Road at Conondale.

Sam formerly worked at Piabun Farm, an Indigenous youth centre on Booloumba Creek Road, which is in the vicinity of where the two women disappeared.

The convicted murderer is allegedly the main suspect connecting the disappearance and presumed murders of the two other women.

A reward of $250,000 for each missing woman has been offered by Queensland Police for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for their disappearance and suspected murder.

According to a statement from the Office of the Commissioner of the Police Service, Celena was reported missing on August 10, 1998, to the Missing Persons Bureau by her fiance Jonathon Webb, a British national holidaying in Australia.

She had arrived in Australia on May 6, 1998, and intended to meet Mr Webb on his arrival to continue their holiday together.

When she failed to meet him, Mr Webb became concerned and reported the matter to police.

The last positive sighting of Celena was on July 16, 1998, on Booloumba Creek Road at Conondale. Her bank account was last accessed in Brisbane on July 13, 1998.

Sabrina Glassop, 46, was last seen on the evening of May 29, 1999, at her family home near Booloumba Creek Road, Kenilworth.

A separate statement issued by the commissioner states Sabrina was reported missing on May 29, 1999, to Kenilworth Police by her estranged husband Eric Glassop.

Mr Glassop last saw his wife about 8.30pm the previous day when they dined together at her residence in Booloumba Creek Road, Kenilworth.

Her parents, John and Joan Worsley, reported hearing her vehicle, a red 1997 Suzuki Alto with registration 274DXA, leave the residence about 6am on May 29, 1999, and drive towards Kenilworth.

The vehicle was later located in the Little Yabba Creek car park. A search of the area where her vehicle was located failed to find any trace of her or her poodle.

Investigations on Guilt have led to real-world impact including the reopening of historic cases, most notably in Victoria, where Guilt’s Season 4 investigation into the cold case of Alana Cecil prompted renewed police interest this year.

In 2023, Season 3 investigations into the disappearance of Swedish backpackers Heidi Paakkonen and Urban Höglin engaged a concentrated search effort of Heidi’s believed final resting place and renewed efforts for information in June 2025.

Produced by Brevity Studios, Guilt is also part of a wider podcasting network, home to the narrative series Journey and the real-life drama podcast Untold Stories.

Season 6 of Guilt is being made with the support and cooperation of Jessica’s family and the podcaster is appealing for anyone with information related to the murder of Jessica or the disappearances of Celina and Sabrina to contact them.
