Applications have opened for an innovative program to connect young Sunshine Coast entrepreneurs with the marketplace.
Now in its 11th year, the GI Challenge is calling on entrepreneurs aged between 15 to 21 with a business idea to apply for the 2025 event.
Each year, a talented group of entrepreneurs is selected into the program and provided with the skills, training and business connections required to begin building their dream business.
Participants receive guidance as they design and conceptualise their business idea, ultimately competing against their peers for the first-place prize of a $10,000 package to launch their dream business.
Generation Innovation has helped dozens of young Sunshine Coasters pursue their business dreams.
People aged between 15 and 21 from the Sunshine Coast or Noosa with a business idea they want to turn into a reality, can head to the Generation Innovation website to apply. Applications close at 5pm on June 6.

Supporting this year’s GI Challenge is a new board of directors, led by experienced chair Shane Cunningham.
“We’ve welcomed a whole new board of directors this year, who each have a passion for supporting young people succeed in their business ventures,” he said.
Also on the board are Renee Cooper (InDepth Accounting), Calvin Kong (Pacific Law), Naomi Elliott (Concept Labs), Harry Thompson (inaugural GI Challenge winner), Neil Waldbaum (Deep Orange Design) and Tony Kelly (Tony Kelly Restaurant Group).
