A man has died in hospital three days after a crash at Stanmore, between Beerwah and Woodford.

Emergency services were called to Bellthorpe Range Road about 1.15pm on Sunday, February 9, following reports a vehicle had struck a tree.

Upon arrival, police located a Toyota HiLux utility with a single occupant in the driver seat, receiving treatment by other emergency services.

The driver of the Toyota, a 66-year-old Bellthorpe man, was airlifted from the scene to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The man passed away in hospital yesterday.

Investigations remain ongoing and the Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to anyone who has relevant dashcam footage of the vehicle or anyone who witnessed the vehicle prior to the crash to come forward.
