An upgraded app is making it easier for Sunshine Coast locals and visitors to request a service, report an issue and access local council information.

The free Sunshine Coast Council app allows users to: have personalised information for bin days; send a service request directly to council; access real-time information about road conditions; explore features of the region, access Disaster Hub and more.

Residents can report non-urgent issues directly to council as well as have news and local information.

Sunshine Coast mayor Rosanna Natoli said the app was designed following customer feedback.

ā€œThe app allows users to have information right at their fingertips,ā€ she said.

ā€œYou’ll no longer have to waitĀ forĀ the rest of the street to pop out their bins to know if it is recycling or green waste day.

ā€œWith its user-friendlyĀ and efficient design, the smartphoneĀ appĀ even allows users to add photos to a service request.

ā€œYou won’t have to write a long description when a picture says it all, and that helps our team resolve the issue quickly.ā€

ā€œWe always appreciate our community’s assistance in reporting and alerting us to jobs that require our attention and I am pleased the app provides another tool to connect with council.

ā€œThe app’s new service request feature, efficiently directs your request to the relevant council team, ensuring a streamlined service for our community.

The Sunshine Coast Council app allows users to access real-time information about road conditions.

ā€œTheĀ appĀ also offers direct access to Adventure Sunshine CoastĀ forĀ more than 250 walking, cycling,Ā and paddling trails across the region, Sunshine Coast EventsĀ andĀ anĀ interactive mapĀ forĀ dog owners.

ā€œWe encourage residents to download theĀ appĀ todayĀ and experience the convenience of accessing services in just a few taps.ā€

It can be downloaded by searching ‘Sunshine Coast App’ in the App Store and Google Play store.
