Residents of a $60 million-plus apartment complex have begun moving in, with work on a neighbouring project now ramping up.
The developer of those two complexes has also revealed it will be launching another project on the Sunshine Coast next year.
Stages 1 and 2 of Zinc Bokarina, by Gardner Vaughan Group, were finished in June, with Stage 3, comprising eight beach houses, completing last month.
Zinc boasts 84 apartments in two towers, plus the eight beach houses, a podium-level outdoor pool, relaxation zones and ground-floor retail.
Attention is now focused on the construction of Bask, which is the last apartment development in the Oceanside precinct at Bokarina Beach.

It will comprise 135 apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms, as well as nine retail spaces, a podium-level pool, relaxation spaces and a gym.

GVG finance and sales director Sam Gardner said the company was relishing the chance to help shape Bokarina Beach and Stockland’s broader Oceanside masterplanned community, which spans Bokarina and Birtinya.
“The Bokarina Beach precinct is a rapidly evolving segment of the Sunshine Coast, a precinct that Gardner Vaughan Group is proud to be a part of,” he said.

“With the successful delivery of our recently completed Zinc Bokarina, we are thrilled to get a second opportunity in the area, commencing construction on Bask Bokarina, right next door to Zinc.
“Collectively, these two developments will provide 230 residential dwellings and over 1600sqm of brand new retail space.
“The settlement and move-in process at Zinc Bokarina was a thrill ride. A busy time, the consensus being satisfaction. Our client journey is important to us, and we have provided something unique.”
GVG is an award-winning property developer and builder with more than 25 years’ experience in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. It has expertise in commercial projects, student accommodation, childcare centres, schools and other residential properties.

“As long-time builder developers, Gardner Vaughan Group have a keen eye for improvement,” Mr Gardner said.
“Zinc Bokarina is a stunning example of what we do well, and you can expect Bask to be another step up.”
Reformer pilates studio Performax Pilates has already opened at Zinc, and a cafe, restaurant and bar called Stoa, by the team behind Moffat Beach’s One Block Back, is expected to open in the coming months.
“The scale of the Oceanside demands there be on-the-doorstep amenity for residents, and we are proud to be a part of making this a reality for the Bokarina community,” Mr Gardner said.

The developer also delivered Revive Oceanside at Birtinya, and it has plans to launch another project on the Coast next year.
“GVG is excited to announce that we will be launching our fourth Sunshine Coast project next year in Caloundra,” Mr Gardner said.
“As with any GVG project, we believe that wonderful locations are part of the premium lifestyle we offer owners and residents.
“Caloundra aligns with the lifestyle aspirations of our buyers, while offering the perfect blend of convenience, community and quality of life.”
The GVG website says Bask is expected to be completed in late 2026, but the approximate cost of the project and number of jobs it will provide is not yet known.
“We are still in the tendering stage for some of the key deliverables for Bask, but the per-square-metre rate for the build will far exceed the Zinc costs,” Mr Gardner said.
“Bask will provide a significant number of jobs to the Sunshine Coast trades, subcontractors and suppliers, which will have a positive impact on the wider community.
“As it is early days it is difficult to put a number against the number of trades and suppliers onsite.”
