Police have charged two people after a lengthy pursuit of an alleged stolen vehicle across the Sunshine Coast and South Burnett regions.

It will be alleged two people broke into a Reinhold Crescent property at Chermside and stole a Range Rover on Sunday about 10pm.

The vehicle was sighted at Little Mountain on the Sunshine Coast and was followed by Polair to Blackbutt, where a tyre-deflation device was deployed on Monday afternoon.

The vehicle continued to Nanango and was later abandoned along the Burnett Highway at Sandy Ridges.

The two occupants allegedly fled on foot and were tracked by the dog squad.

The pair then allegedly stole an unoccupied John Deer Gator utility vehicle from a Sandy Ridges Road property.

Police tracked the vehicle and it was located in a nearby vacant lot, with the dog squad locating and arresting the pair a short time later.

A 23-year-old Wilsonton man has been charged with burglary, two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a vehicle, evade police, trespass and traffic offences.

He was denied police bail and was due to appear before Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old Cherbourg girl was charged with two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and one count each of burglary, trespass and an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery.
