A popular Australian-owned and operated sportswear brand is set to open on the Sunshine Coast.

LSKD will open a 150sqm store at Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore on March 30, becoming the brand’s 10th retail outlet.

Founder and CEO Jason Daniel said he was excited to unveil the new LSKD store.

“I am pumped for our first store opening of the year to be at Sunshine Plaza,” he said.

“Having spent significant time in this area growing up racing motocross, it’s great to come back and localise with their fitness community.”

The website of LSKD (short for ‘Loose Kid’) says the brand prides itself on producing “high-quality, functional sportswear with a street aesthetic”.

“Ever since our formation in 2007, we’ve never been content settling for the norm; we’re constantly evolving and challenging the status quo. We’re inspired by the restless few who influence style, shape the future and strive to be 1 per cent better every day,” it says.

The opening event will give customers access to new products as well as the opportunity to swap any pair of tights or shorts for one of 600 new ones. LSKD will then work in collaboration with its partner Upparel to ensure responsible recycling or reuse of the donated items.

“On opening day we will offer exclusive products that aren’t available online, including the local Sunshine Coast t-shirt, exclusively available at Sunshine Plaza,” Mr Daniel said.

In a press release, LSKD said the Sunshine Coast store would provide an immersive shopping experience for customers, offering exclusive products, core styles and accessories across men’s, women’s and unisex categories.

It said the store would feature unique elements such as an external manifesto wall, a local community board, a bra and legging wall, and innovative light boxes.
