A “truly exceptional” property at Noosa Heads has been snapped up for a fortune by an international buyer.

No.24 Noosa Parade was bought for $16.5 million earlier this month, after it was put on the market for the first time in more than three decades.

The 613sqm property is in a grand location on Noosa Sound.

It is just down the road from one of the globe’s best beach strips and has river access.

Richardson & Wrench Noosa principal and licensed sales agent Gillian McCauley said the site attracted interest from around the world.

“(It) is a grand and comfortable lifestyle experience in one of the most sought-after locations in Noosa,” she said.

“It’s a truly exceptional property that has captured the hearts of buyers near and far.

The home has had the same owner since 1987.

“In fact, the property was sold to an overseas buyer without them even setting eyes on it in person.”

The property has been cherished as a family home since 1987, when it was built.

“It boasts an unparalleled location and breathtaking views,” Ms McCauley said.

“Its north-facing orientation ensures an abundance of natural light and offers a prime position just minutes away from the iconic Hastings Street, renowned for its world-famous Noosa Main Beach and a collection of upscale cafes and restaurants.”

The home is large and it opens out to a grassed area with water views.

“With five spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, two separate living spaces, an office/studio, a well-appointed kitchen and a powder room downstairs, it is the ideal choice for large families and those hosting visiting guests,” Ms McCauley said.

“Additionally, there is ample space for a pool, further enhancing the potential for luxurious living.

The property meets the Noosa River.

“One of the property’s most captivating features is the seamless indoor-outdoor living experience, made possible by bi-fold doors that open to a beautifully landscaped outdoor area.

“The panoramic water views from the property create the perfect backdrop for sunsets enjoyed with a glass of champagne, providing an unrivalled sense of leisure and enjoyment.

“The property also provides easy access to the Noosa River, allowing for a picturesque riverside living experience.

“A unique feature of this location is the option to take the Noosa River Ferry, conveniently located at the end of the street.

“This allows residents to explore the estuary and visit the Noosa Marina, host to delightful Sunday markets, enhancing the appeal of this already prime location.”

It was the second recent high-end sale by Ms McCauley on Noosa Parade, after No.12 was sold for $27 million in mid-2022.

Homes in the Noosa area continue to attract high prices.

No.56 Allambi Terrace at Noosa Head, 14 The Promontory at Noosa Waters and 6109/5 Morwong Drive at Noosa Heads all went for more than $3 million during the weekend.
