A worldwide juice and smoothie business with almost 900 outlets is set to open its second store in Australia, on the Sunshine Coast.

The company has tailored its offerings to the Australian market, with a commitment to local suppliers and fostering community connections.

Danny Cheung, managing director of Newford QSR Group, said the brand offered fresh ingredients from Australian farms.

“What will make Jamba unique in Australia is the well-established heritage of more than three decades: our celebrated smoothies have zero preservatives and added sugars,” he said.

“Through our partnerships with local Australian suppliers and regional farms, where we procure freshly squeezed juices, fruits and vegetables, we not only support local communities but also uphold our time-honoured tradition of sourcing premium, locally derived ingredients.”

The menu also includes an array of bowls and parfaits brimming with fresh fruit.

Jamba has stores at 870 locations in the United States and South-East Asia.

It is inviting locals to be part of the launch party at the new store, where customers can be among the first to savour its juices, smoothies, and bowls.

The launch event will feature family-friendly carnival entertainment, and customers can go into the running for a chance to win prizes.

To celebrate the store opening, Jamba is also offering the first 172 customers 75 per cent off a smoothie, making it available for $2.

Mr Cheung said the company was excited to bring its 30-year track record of healthy, on-the-go lifestyle to the Australian market in response to the growing demand for healthier food and beverages.

Customers will get the chance to try the whirl’d famous smoothies in four categories – Classic, Greens, Power and Indulgent.

“We are so excited to bring Jamba to Queensland for more Aussies to be able to find their new favourite healthy on-the-go spot,” he said.

“Jamba is committed to bringing real, high-quality ingredients and delicious choices for its health-conscious Aussies who are seeking a delightful, nourishing experience.

“Over the next coming months, we have a series of exciting campaigns and partnerships planned to introduce a product that has already taken America by storm into Australian households.”

Jamba’s menu includes bowls and parfaits with fresh fruit and a selection of toppings, as well as grab-and-go pastries. Some of its favourites include mango-a-go-go (mangos, pineapple juice, yoghurt, bananas, oats and ice); strawberries wild (strawberries, apple juice, yoghurt, bananas, oats and ice); and acai primo (coconut, soy, strawberries, blueberries, apple juice, yoghurt, acai blend, bananas, oats, ice, organic granola and honey).

Jamba has plans to further expand its presence across Australia, into NSW urban centres and regional cities, by mid to late 2025.

Jamba at Sunshine Plaza will be open six days from 9am to 5pm, and on Thursdays from 9am to 9pm.
