A popular Sunshine Coast chocolate artisan has already tasted sweet success after securing prime position for its third Brisbane CBD store, within a prestigious arcade.

No sooner had the Noosa Chocolate Factory doors opened in The Brisbane Arcade, running between the Queen Street Mall and Adelaide Street, than a steady stream of sweet tooths flooded in to enjoy the freshly brewed coffee and signature rocky road.

General manager Nick Southon said it was an easy decision to open a third store in close proximity to the other two Noosa Chocolate Factory locations in the city heart when the new retail space became available.

“Both stores in Adelaide Street are continuously busy and they primarily attract the corporate market,” Mr Southon said.

“We knew the location of this store, which is right at the entrance of The Brisbane Arcade, would attract retail shoppers and those out for a nice day in the city – and we were right.

“The moment the doors opened this week, we have seen a steady stream of shoppers coming in to stock up on all their favourites, enjoy a coffee and start their Christmas shopping early.”

The Noosa Chocolate Factory was established in 2009 and specialises in panned, slab and moulded products.

The wide array of chocolates include vegan options that are equivalent in taste to milk-based products. But the signature product is undoubtedly its rocky road.

“Every element of our rocky road is created by our team using our own recipes for the chocolate, the jelly and the marshmallow,” Mr Southon said.

“As a result, it has a subtle flavour that is light and fresh. People come from far and wide just to buy it and it’s one of our first products to sell out each day.

“Our chocolates are made fresh every week and people know that when you buy from us, you are guaranteed a fresh, great-tasting locally made product that hasn’t been sitting on the shelves for weeks or months.”

And the sight of staff cutting large blocks of chocolate into their package-size treats is sure to continue a crowd-pleasing tradition at the new store, which is open seven days a week.

Other store locations are at 21 Venture Drive, Noosaville, and Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore.
