Sandy Gillis was on the spot to photograph a platypus up close, on a cool morning at Maleny.

“Despite my fingers seemingly frozen to the bone, I managed to snap this photo,” she said. “I actually saw three there but this was my favourite. The autumn colours make the difference I think.”
