A low-cost airline’s initial Sunshine Coast fleet is complete, after the arrival of its third plane.

Bonza welcomed the craft, named ‘Sheila’, to its home base at Sunshine Coast Airport on Monday.

The Chief Commercial Officer at Bonza, Carla Povey, said it marked an important milestone, before they take to the skies, subject to regulatory approval.

“Sheila completes our family of aircraft at Sunshine Coast Airport as we prepare to get wheels up from Bonza’s backyard on the Sunny Coast,” she said.

“Our next two aircraft will be based at our second home, Melbourne Airport, and we’ll share news on that in the new year.

“Like her companions Shazza and Bazza, Sheila was named by our purple army of fans on social media.”

Whilst respecting the regulatory process, the airline continues with its readiness activities in anticipation of connecting communities through low-cost flights.

Aussies were encouraged to download the Fly Bonza app and sign up to be the first to know when flights are on sale.

Bonza recently launched its all-Aussie flight menu and the airline said tickets for their first flights could be on sale “soon”.

“We will be on sale shortly, keep checking Bonza Airline or our app for the latest details.”

The airline is still in the process of gaining regulatory approvals with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to obtain its Air Operator’s Certificate.
