Check your tickets! The search is on for a handful of lucky Lotto winners from the Sunshine Coast after they scored big on Saturday night.

A 10-strong syndicate called The Big One number 2, from Cotton Tree News, struck the division one prize from Gold Lotto draw 4287.

They will take home more than $1.42 million, with each of them receiving more than $142,000.

But five of the winners were still at large on Monday afternoon, potentially not realising they had hit the jackpot.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart urged anyone who purchased a syndicate share from Cotton Tree News to check their entry. “While many of the winning Sunshine Coast syndicate members registered their entries to a player card, others may have yet to discover they’re part of this winning group,” he said via a Lott media release.

“We can’t wait to unite all the syndicate members with their prize, so today’s the day to check those tickets lying around the home, car and anywhere else. “If you think you’re part of this winning group, contact us immediately on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”

Cotton Tree News is urging people to check their tickets.

Cotton Tree News owner Leigh Grandy said the syndicate had been running for about three years. “We love any big win, but the big syndicate wins are our favourite,” he said. “We’re excited to congratulate our regular customers who we know bought a share into this syndicate, when they come in. “People are genuinely happy that others have had a win.

“We wish our syndicate members all the best with their prize.”  The winning numbers were 6, 34, 16, 37, 42 and 35, with supplementary numbers 18 and 40. There were four division one winning entries, including two from Victoria and one each from Queensland and New South Wales. Help keep independent and fair Sunshine Coast news coming by subscribing to our free daily news feed.
