After months of epic sales, a coveted property in one of the Sunshine Coast’s most tightly held streets has been passed in at auction.

The home at 32 Adaluma Avenue, Buddina, is considered the epitome of waterfront addresses with access to the Pacific Ocean.

Homes there are traditionally handed down from generation to generation and rarely become available.

McGrath Real Estate Caloundra agent Bree Charles said the four-bedroom, three-bathroom, three-car Buddina property had now been listed for offers over $3.5 million.

It boasts 18.1m deepwater frontage, complete with 7.5m pontoon and jetty (powered and light-filled), fish filleting station and a secure boathouse.

The agent said the vendors bought in 2008 and were ready to downsize.

About 70 people attended the auction with 33 groups registered and signed up on the day.

As for what will happen next: “watch this space,” said Ms Charles.

Properties in this Buddina location are usually passed from generation to generation.

Ross Cattle of Define Property had a big weekend of sales totalling around $9 million, inclusive of three successful auctions.

Mr Cattle declared it wasn’t a bad turnout, considering the news swirling around of a slowing market.

The units sold sold under the hammer included:

  • 1/355 Bradman Avenue, Maroochydore, for $500,000
  • 3/60 Edward Street, Alexandra Headland, for $690,000
  • 6 Driver Parade, Palmview, for $650,000 to first home buyers
