It’ll be a touch cooler this weekend with 25 and 27 degrees the expected maximum temperatures, but still plenty warm enough to hit the sand and hang out at the beach.

There is a slight chance of shower but not enough to dampen the entire weekend fingers crossed!

We’re expecting light easterly winds across most of the weekend before they swing more northerly and increase later on Sunday afternoon.

We’re not expecting to see more than 10 knots until later on Sunday, so there should be good conditions across the Coast.

There’ll be less than half a metre of swell so conditions will be great for swimming, but there’s not much to get excited about if you’re a surfer.

Champion nippers in action

Beach vaccination hubs a success

There were plenty of people taking the plunge and being a Lifesaver by getting their COVID vaccination at one of our beach pop-up vaccination hubs last weekend.

A massive shout out to our volunteers at Sunshine Beach, Coolum, Marcoola, Mudjimba, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Metropolitan Caloundra and Redcliffe Surf Life Saving Clubs for pulling together the hubs at short notice.

Enjoy the weekend and if you’re heading to the beach make sure you swim only between the red and yellow flags!
