SUNSHINE Coast Karate founding instructors Martin and Sandra Phillips are taking a dynamic team of ten participants to this years World Chito-Ryu Karate Championships in August 2010.
Every three years member countries of the International Chito-Ryu Karate-do Federation come together to test their skills and grow friendships at this prestigious event.
Throughout the history of the event, it has been held in various countries throughout the world including: Japan, Canada, Australia and Norway. The standard of competition at this event is very high as the event attracts the top Chito-Ryu competitors from around the world.
This year the top Chito-Ryu Karate competitors will meet in Kumamoto Japan in August 2010. Competitors securing a place on the Australian Team from Sunshine Coast Karate include: George Britchford, Duncan Bigg, Viet Kass, Tia Guy, Emma Moehead, Jim Moehead, James O'Grady, Helen O'Grady, David Strazzari and Emma Woodhouse.
