TODAY Sunshine Coast Regional Council welcomed hi-tech company, Tracknology’s arrival to their new Sunshine Coast home at the Innovation Centre.
Economic Development and Council Entrepreneurship portfolio chair Councillor Lew Brennan said companies like Tracknology who are doing business globally and can be based anywhere in the world are seeing the Sunshine Coast as a key destination that offers many advantages.

“Two months ago council launched its ‘Natural Advantages’ initiative to begin marketing the Sunshine Coast as a business destination,” Cr Lew Brennan said.

“We are saying to the world that apart from the Sunshine Coast being a premier holiday destination, it is now positioning itself as a world class destination for smart technology based business and the results have been very pleasing,” he said.

“Tracknology choosing to relocate here is particularly pleasing given council’s recent investment into a new Wi-max and fibre optic network for the coast to make it one of, if not, the most competitive regional destinations in the country for technology companies.”

Director of Sales and Products for Tracknology, Steve Walsh said the decision to move to the coast was motivated by a combination of personal and professional reasons.

“Upon making the decision to move, both the Queensland Government and the Sunshine Coast Regional Council have been very enthusiastic about helping us with our relocation and getting us settled into the local business community,” Steve Walsh said.

“We are looking forward to ongoing relationships with both levels of government as we seek to build our business and drive more technology outcomes for the Sunshine Coast,” he said.

Tracknology is an Australian developer of comprehensive work order and work flow management solutions that transform mobile devices into wireless business platforms.

They have secured contracts for the RMA Process, Customer Service Support and Technical Support from Sonim, manufacturers of the world’s toughest phone.
