THE official moniker of the new water supply and sewerage services distribution and retail business being established to service the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay council regions will be unveiled this Friday, 29 January 2010.
The business’ new chairman – a prominent South East Queensland identity with significant experience in strategic planning and resource management – will also be announced.

The announcement will mark a major milestone in the councils’ collaborative effort to establish the water business, which is a requirement of the State Government’s water reform process.

The independently-run business will formally begin operations on 1 July 2010, but will remain jointly owned by the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay Regional Councils.
