TOM and Peggy Clark of Peregian Beach will celebrate 67 years of marriage on 9 May 2009.  They were married in Leeds, UK during the war, emigrated in 1952 and after various jobs in Wollongong and Brisbane ended up in Mount Isa where Tom was Fire Chief/Plant Protection Officer for Mount Isa Mines Limited.  After retiring in 1980 they settled in Peregian and became very involved with the Golf and Bowls Clubs holding several positions over many years.  Their eldest son David lives nearby at Doonan and daughter Lesley and youngest son Bruce live in Brisbane.
