The Tewantin Neighbourhood Group meetings are held on the last Saturday of the month from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm at the Masonic Lodge Hall, Moorindil Street, Tewantin, Qld.
This month the meeting will be held on Saturday, 25th October 2008. The theme will be "Sewing for Christmas". Please bring your sewing machine, christmas material, threads etc and of course your lunch. (Members: Please check the newsletter for other requirements).
The Sewing Group has a regular program with a different topic each month. For prospective new members, the group is made up of enthusiastic people, with varying skills from the novice to the specialist. Members bring their sewing machines and lunch and in a friendly environment explore both basic dressmaking and decorative sewing techniques. New members are always welcome.
The group has an ongoing project of sewing items for charities and clothes for premature babies. The photograph shows some of the clothes made last month by the members.
