Designed for age’s two to 12, the latest Sudo Spring/Summer line for 2008/09 is a collection that your kids will love. The range is an eclectic mix to suit all tastes and incorporates non-conformist style with the latest high fashion trends. Each piece in the collection has a unique design twist, a hood on a t-shirt, an oversized pocket or a detail you wouldn’t expect, all which set this label apart from the crowd.

The Sudo girl’s collection has a modern take on 70’s style in a palette of delicious ice-cream colours, delicate florals and cute ginghams. Rachael Lay drew on her childhood memories to inspire this girl’s collection. When she was a child her mother, Marianne used beautiful fabrics and retro styles to craft totally unique pieces for her special girl. Rachael has used her mother’s influences to create this beautiful collection reminiscent of the 70’s with a modern 21st century twist. Highlights include girly summer dresses in pretty florals, pastel plaid and giant kaleidoscope prints in lolly colours that are perfect for tea parties or hitting the beach. There are cute bow-tie shorts to match with ‘anything but basic’ T - shirts in a fruity palette of peach, lemon and grape. And to keep cool on the hot summer days each piece is constructed in natural fabrics and butter soft cottons.

For the boys, Terry has created a blend of mod and rocker inspired pieces, for styling that packs a punch. Cool, comfortable and hardwearing fabrics are a staple in this collection, because Sudo boys have lots of adventures. The edgy lines include rocker jeans (as worn by Pax Jolie Pitt), sleeveless and polo shirts. Checks feature heavily with printed boardies, braces and shirts for boys with attitude. The T-shirt’s styles are 80’s Skater, retro and relief palm tree prints with light weight jackets and short sleeved cardi style jackets to cover up for those cool summer nights. The Sudo boys colour palette, ranges from fresh mint, sky blue and grape to denim blue, black, soft grey marl and charcoal.

Established in 2003 by parents Terry and Rachael Lay and designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Sudo really is a family affair. The duo started the label two years after the birth of their first son Maxwell and they now have two more children. Max is seven, Austin is five and Audrey is three. “We are a style driven family and we started Sudo because we wanted clothing for our kids that was just as cool and fashionable as the clothes we love. We take our influences and inspiration from our children, our own childhoods and the catwalk and blend it all together into Sudo style,” said co-founder Rachael Lay.
